About the Faculty Amman University for Banking and Financial Sciences

AUC is the oldest and the most descent academic institute in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

In 1953 by the USA aids AUC was established as the (House of Teachers) affiliated the Ministry of Education. Whereas in 1965 the name had been sophisticated to (The Institute of teachers) which lasted till 1981 the same year when the name had been modified to Amman Community College, in 1997 the said college affiliated Al-Balqa’ Applied University and known as the Amman University College of financial and administrative Science.

AUC aims to be a region leader in the integration of (a) teaching and learning, (b) advancement of the Economic knowledge base through research and scholarship, and (c) leadership in service and outreach. Further, the AUC will be a region leader in preparing professionals who provide leadership and exemplary financially, business, administration and related services to improve the lives of individuals in a changing and complex global society.

Over history of 6 decades, AUC has been characterized as a college of distinction to steer and flush outstanding financial geniuses, scholars, and researchers, and to enhance the profession of business sciences, as broadly defined, through research on the science and art of teaching and learning, the application of business clinical processes, the effective uses and usages of technology, and the analysis and development of initiative spirit and advance the policy of MIS, AIS, Accounting, Banking, Administration, Finance and Economic knowledge.

Today some 3,000 students are enrolled in programs across 5 undergraduate programs and 6 postgraduate programs and the range of postgraduate study options is continually growing.

AUC conducts its programs and activities guided by overarching Vision, Mission, Goals, Values, Beliefs statements. All are revisited periodically and revised, if appropriate.

Currently, AUC offers the baccalaureate degree in 5 majors in: business administration, management information systems, accounting, accounting information systems, and financial management and 6 MBA degree programs in: business administration, accounting, management information systems, financial management, electronic business, and electronic government.

All programs are accredited by the Council of Higher Education in Jordan, the Arab Association of Universities and all of the Local and International Academic Corporations.

AUC is looking for providing Training and Continuous Education opportunities in administrative fields to students, employees and all society categories that contributes in developing knowledge and supplying the community with specialists trying to solve its economic and social problems on both the local and the international level.


The semester system is carried out according to credit hours.
